Urban Elf is Neutral

11 Mar

But not like Switzerland-neutral. We’re talking even more neutral than that! ¬†And, trust me, it doesn’t get more neutral than ecru, which is what Luna prescribed for Week 18 of the 52 Weeks of Color.

Instead of going shopping, which is my wont, I decided to dig through my ever-expanding closet and find something to wear. Luckily, I had something as near to Ecru as I could possibly hope to get.

According to Wikipedia, ecru is “greyish-pale yellow or a light greyish-yellowish brown” and can describe linen or silk in its unbleached state. Which is nice, really, because I’m a sucker for linen or silk in any state, really. It doesn’t have to be neutral at all!

Despite my hesitation to wear the neutral’s “neutral”, ecru really is perfect for showcasing a splash of color. A bit like snow revealing the shy faces of sunny daffodils and creamy crocus.
